visual poems

and my imaginary shelf

this ongoing project is an experiment through the world of words. it started by the end of 2019 but has really come to shape under the hands of the cruel, dry and heavy pandemics reality in 2020.

I'm known in my family for being more of a non-verbal girl when it comes to meaningful things. like a lot of others out there, I find it easier to convey thoughts through pictures instead of words. during the past months we've experienced collective loss, grief, hope and terror... some of us have faced these very close. and, of course, there are all the other feelings that exist alongside this moment in time, but that have been for longer and will outlast it.

these pieces are fragments of what has crossed my mind in different scenarios in the past few months --- losing a friend, family bonds, hopelessness, joy, hunger. falling in and out of love, fear and kindness.

I'm not sure where they're headed but here's to the journey.
